‘Ancient Cosmetics’ yay or nay?

Whether you are male or female, you want to feel good in your skin. When you have a breakout, acne, psoriasis or any other skin condition (no matter how minor), it can feel like it takes control of your life. Worrying about your skin and how others perceive you can be terrifying, but we are shown a lot of solutions by numerous companies promoting their products. The only problem is how do we know the products will work for our skin? Is it healthy to attempt to solve our skin problems with chemical based products? If you are like me, your answer is that you are sick and tired of using chemical products that do more harm than good.

I think I have found a solution that can solve all our problems. If products containing chemicals are not working, why not try handmade vegan products with natural ingredients? Luckily for us, ‘Ancient Cosmetics’ is a business that is providing us with products we need and definitely want. Their goal is to create products using “ancient methods for modern skin”. Their products are incredibly affordable, ranging from $5-$60 (including box sets).

Let me help you take the first steps in deciding whether you want to purchase any of their exotic, healthy and natural skincare products.

When it comes to shopping, I love simplicity. I need to be able to easily find what I am looking for, (maybe a few extra things I didn’t think of) and not get lost. Ancientcosmeticz.com is the site for that. The simplicity and clear labelling of the tabs allows all customers to navigate their way around their site. They update the site regularly, with a section specifically for their new products. The site is updated when a product has sold out.

The best part of the site’s features is that they list all the ingredients included in each product. So, you will know exactly what you are putting on your skin. Which is incredibly helpful if you have allergies. As added bonuses, the company recommends ways for us to use their products and for some they tell us an expiry date. This is great, especially, as scientists have been telling us that we need to throw away our products more frequently, so, we minimise bacterial infections.

Ancient Cosmetics sell a wide range of skincare products; scrubs, oils, face wash, creams, masks and more. Each product is unique and stays true to their brand by using a combination of natural ingredients that will bring tropical and exotic smells to your skincare routine. I’m positive there is a scent for everyone: lemon, coconut, rose, grapefruit, and the list goes on. I know, I keep saying there is more, that is because they truly have so many options for us.

The owners carefully thought about our skin care needs such as dry skin, acne, psoriasis, eczema and more. Ancient Cosmetic’s products reflect this. If you have questions or want advice before making a purchase, you can easily contact their team through an email or through social media (@ancientcosmetics).

Many companies we see advertisements for on television, want us to “clear” our skin problems with products that contain chemical ingredients we can barely pronounce. Why should we have to spend our money on products that can be doing more harm to us than good (including harm to the environment in the production of the products)? Does it make sense to allow ourselves to be trapped in a revolving cycle of wasting money on products that don’t work for our need and give us false hope?

What I appreciate the most about Ancient Cosmetics is that they have a ’90-day refund policy’. All the companies I shop with have a 30-day policy, offer product exchanges or don’t offer refunds at all. Their policy gives you time to see if their products are giving you good results, and the option to claim a refund if you don’t believe they are. They are a growing company that puts their customer first. Of course, they want everyone to love their products, but they understand that their products may not work for everyone. Their policy let you know that that is okay.

When it comes to my skin, I am hesitant to try new things in case I have a bad reaction to it. I always fear the worst, that my skin will break out or my psoriasis will flare up. However, I always forget that my flare ups don’t last forever, and I judge myself the most on my skin. So, don’t be like me. It is good to take a leap of faith sometimes. The worst thing that could happen is you decide that it isn’t the right product for you.
